A BETTER FIRST IMPRESSION
In-Studio Headshots
LOOKING THE PART, WITHOUT OVERTHINKING IT

Studio headshots are designed for the moments when you need a professional, approachable image that works everywhere—from LinkedIn and social profiles to company websites, resumes, speaking engagements, and professional publications. Whether you are starting a job search, updating your online presence, or simply need a current headshot, we'll create a polished portrait that looks like you and represents you well.
These sessions are typically focused on upper-torso and waist-up portraits, giving you a clean, versatile image that works well across professional platforms. They are not generally designed for full-body portraits. If you need a full-length image, multiple poses, or a broader collection of portraits, I'd recommend discussing a full portrait session instead.
My default approach is bright, clean, and welcoming. The studio gives us complete control over the lighting, allowing us to create flattering, consistent portraits regardless of the weather or time of day. We typically have six to eight background colors available, with additional colors possible with advance planning. While a clean white background is one of the most common choices, we can also work with gray, black, color, or something more distinctive depending on how you plan to use the image.
Want Something More Stylized?
The bright, approachable look is our starting point—and the style that most people respond to when scrolling through LinkedIn, websites, and social media. We can easily change the feel with different background colors, wardrobe choices, and subtle lighting adjustments, with six to eight colors typically available in the studio and others possible with advance planning. If you're looking for something more dramatic, editorial, or stylized, we can take the lighting and overall direction further with a little additional planning.
What to Wear
For most professional headshots, I recommend keeping wardrobe simple and avoiding anything overly busy. Solid colors and clean lines tend to photograph best and keep the attention where it belongs—you. If we're working on a white background, a darker or more colorful top usually provides better separation than a plain white shirt. We'll talk through wardrobe and background choices before or during your session to make sure everything works together.
Investment
Studio headshot sessions start at $225.
The session includes up to two final images, selected by you and professionally retouched. My approach to retouching is clean and natural. I don't change the features that make you look like you. Instead, I clean up temporary distractions such as acne, dust, and minor blemishes, even out skin tone, reduce some redness in the eyes, and make other subtle adjustments that help you look rested and polished while still looking like yourself.
Need more than two images? Additional retouched images are available for purchase. Additional looks are also available if you'd like to change your wardrobe during the session—for example, creating both a traditional business look and a more casual option.
If you're looking for a more extensive portrait session with multiple outfits, full-body images, or a larger collection of finished photographs, I'd recommend discussing one of my Executive Portrait or Environmental Portrait sessions instead.
