THE IMAGE BEHIND THE ROLE
EXECUTIVE PORTRAITS
Built Around Your Profession

More Than a Headshot
Executive portraits are designed to create a broader visual presence around you and your role. Instead of focusing on a single traditional headshot, these sessions can include head-and-shoulders portraits, full-length images, more relaxed or approachable looks, multiple outfits, and environmental elements that help reflect your personality and professional brand.
The planning behind an executive portrait session is just as important as what happens in front of the camera. We start with a conversation about your role, your audience, and how the images will be used, then build the visual direction around those details. Wardrobe, color, backgrounds, locations, props, and even the level of formality all play a part in creating the right impression.
Built Around Your Profession
Different professions call for different visual approaches. A physician may benefit from colors and backgrounds that feel clean, approachable, and trustworthy. An engineer or technical professional might call for something more structured and contemporary. Someone working in AI, software, or another technology field may be better represented through a more relaxed, modern approach. For attorneys and other traditionally formal professions, we may lean toward polished wardrobe choices, restrained colors, and more classic backgrounds.
These decisions aren't about following rigid rules. They're about understanding how visual cues influence perception and making deliberate choices that support the way you want to be seen. Color, contrast, wardrobe, expression, and environment all contribute to the final image.
A Collaborative Session
These sessions typically begin with an inquiry and conversation rather than a quick booking. We'll discuss your goals, review wardrobe options, determine the visual direction, and plan the details before the shoot. Depending on the assignment, we can incorporate multiple outfits, locations, props, hair and makeup, or additional production needs.
The result is a collection of images that gives you more flexibility than a traditional headshot—photographs you can use across your website, LinkedIn profile, press materials, speaking engagements, publications, and marketing.
Investment
Executive portrait sessions start at $400. A basic session includes approximately one hour in the studio, typically enough time for two outfits and a mix of full-body, three-quarter, and torso/headshot portraits.
For most clients looking for a more complete collection, a good target is $600–$800 for approximately 20–25 finished images. This gives us more time to work through multiple outfits, expressions, poses, and variations while creating a versatile collection of portraits for your website, LinkedIn profile, press materials, speaking engagements, and marketing.
More expansive executive branding sessions can be built around a larger visual concept and go up from there. These may include multiple wardrobe changes, different background colors, furniture and props, environmental setups, additional locations, hair and makeup, and more involved production. We can also create a mix of polished executive portraits and more relaxed, personality-driven images that give you a broader library of content to use throughout your brand.
The goal isn't to fit every executive into the same package. We'll talk through how you want to be represented, where the images will be used, and what you need the final collection to accomplish. From there, I'll help build the right amount of time and production around the project.
